Planning: - The moment the idea about your website appearance clicks in your mind you need to plan about the color scheme, theme, navigation, call to action, links in header/footer, numbers of links, things to include on the home page, where to put no follow and where not, about robot.txt, ht access and many other things. There are few things which do not fall under web designing process but still we mentioned them as these days these issues are quite normal so it will be better if you make a note of it.

Content Building:- Preparation of your content makes you comfortable while adjusting it with your design. The content must be in sync with the design. The pictures which you are putting must complement your design or vice-versa, otherwise it will create confusion. Suppose your site is about office stationary but the image in your site shows a student studying on a table, no match hence a flop idea.

Designing:- If your first two steps has been performed up to correction then the designing part is going to be a fun activity. Since you are very much clear about your idea you just have place things in their place. But remember do not go wild in your designing, stay focused about your targeted visitors and think about them while designing.
